Dog Baby

Chief was our first dog.  I remember not wanting a dog but agreeing to have a dog because my love wanted one, and I believe that we should have the things we've always wanted when we become adults.  I don't know when I bonded with this dog, but when I did, there was no turning back.

It's been 5 months and 10 days since Chief...  I still can't grasp that my responsibility for 14 years is now gone.  All those times that I wished for free time, and now I spend all my free time wishing I could spend time with him and Ro.

While I did not take days with them for granted, I can't help but wish we were granted more days.  Feels selfish, but they were my babies, and he was my first dog baby.

I miss them both every second of each day.
