8/8/2024 | Let the Countdown Begin!
I've decided to document my growth moving forward.
In ALL things, but there is one area of my life that I could have dedicated time to and I didn't - that's losing weight. I am sure as time moves on I will share more about why I decided to no longer focus on weight loss, but recently I decided to not only focus on losing weight but document the journey.
In the past, I tried EVERYTHING! Eating clean, no meat, no carbs, Slim Fast, Dr. Gupta, pills, shots, exercise (never consistent with it), Jesus, the Atkins Diet, Pescatarian, liquid fasts, keto, prayer, bulimia, FitBit, several apps, went to a nutritionist, practiced Yoga, Tae Bo (literally, my favorite workout but life happened and I stopped), walking in the park, sauna suits... "You name it!" and I've probably tried it. However, the one thing I have yet to try is CONSISTENCY! Some of the things I named worked, but I never reached my final goal because I soon realized that I found comfort in being overweight...
Anyway, I have decided that Thursday, August 8 is the kick-off to my weight loss journey titled, "The First 48". The first phase is the first 48 hours but my overall goal is to lose the first 48 pounds by Monday, November 25. I picked that date because it is the date for my next physical.
In the meantime, as I prepare to begin shedding the first 48 pounds, here are are few pics of past weight highs & lows.
